Can I get an FHA loan in a condominium project that is not FHA approved?

Answer

For FHA case numbers assigned on or after February 1, 2010, a condominium project must be approved by a FHA Direct Endorsement approved FHA mortgage lender, as outlined in Mortgagee Letters 11-03, 09-46 A, and 09-46 B which streamlined the process and eliminated the spot loan approval processing option.
